Socks Delivered to St. John’s Hospice

On a cold snow-on-the-ground Sunday we made a sock delivery to St. John’s Hospice in Philadelphia.

St. John’s Hospice, according to their website “seeks to be a community grounded in faith and service where homeless persons find dignity, respect, nourishment, and opportunities for new beginnings.”

Yesterday there were about 35 men in the shelter being served a hot meal by a group from St. Thomas of Villanova Parish, Rosemont, PA.

144 pairs of nice new warm socks were dropped off and distributed to very grateful recipients.

Ah, the joy of socks!
