5,804 pairs of new socks for the homeless were sorted and packed by students of Cabrini College, Radnor, PA for The Joy of Sox.  It  was a great event as about 20 students separated thousands of pairs of purchased and donated socks into piles for men, women and children.

They then assembled cardboard boxes and filled the boxes with the new socks.  The filled boxes where then loaded into a van for later distribution to homeless shelters in the Philadelphia region.

A special thanks to Stephanie Reed and Maureen Catania for supporting and coordinating the event.  And another special thanks to Nancy Costello for the nice write up in the weekly update for the Missionary Sisters (click picture at right to see the story).

This was such a super event that hopefully Cabrini College can do it again next year?  and the following year?
