LaSalle College High School students plan to distribute socks directly to the homeless on the street of Philadelphia

Students at LaSalle College High School, in Wyndmore, PA  have a program where students distribute “care packages” directly to the homeless on the streets of Philadelphia.

Lew Clark, Director of Campus Ministry, who oversees the program is excited about partnering with The Joy of Sox in being able to offer clean new socks to the people on the street.

Lew says they mostly need socks for men, but have recently seen an increase in the number of women on the streets.

Students from Chestnut Hill College will deliver BOTH men and woman’s socks to LaSalle so the high school students can include them in the “care packages.”

Pictures from the streets of Philadelphia will be posted when available.
